Players from all four competitions in the League1 Canada Alliance were selected across the latest Canadian Premier League college draft.

Players from all four competitions in the League1 Canada Alliance were selected across the Canadian Premier League U SPORTS Draft yesterday, including three former League1 British Columbia stars.

Luke Norman was picked second overall by Vancouver FC, after he won the L1BC Men’s Division with Whitecaps FC. He played 15 games across the season, including his side’s playoff semifinal and final which was won via penalties against Victoria Highlanders.

As the seventh pick, Cavalry selected Caden Rogozinski who featured 11 times in Electric City’s debut L1ON season before being an integral part in Highlanders’ impressive 2023 campaign in L1BC.  He played 13 full regular-season games, and lined up against Norman in the title decider having helped Victoria through their playoff semifinal against Unity FC.

Tommy Powell scored twice in 11 games for Unity in 2023 and was the penultimate selection of the draft, joining Norman at Vancouver FC in Round Two as the 15th overall pick.

More League1 Canada players were selected across the three other competitions – League1 Ontario, Ligue1 Québec, and League1 Alberta – in the national alliance. Please click here to find out who else was selected.
